charette process
At SW+A, we believe that a transparent, participatory design process can create better communities and a healthier environment. Public involvement during the early stages of the design process can help identify the issues important to the community and aid in developing the most appropriate planning, design, and management solutions possible.

We believe that our designs are better when they are drawn from the community, not imposed on it. The solution needs to be comprehensive, inclusive, and sustainable. This belief leads us to seek input from a broad spectrum of the community through meetings, public forums, workshops, and design charrettes.

With this approach in mind, we understand that while there may be dozens of good design solutions for any given project there are only one or two solutions that are truly simple, honest, and unique. These are the solutions we seek.
